The GTV Junior Cluj is a french association managed by french students from the FMV Cluj-Napoca. This association gathers all french-speaking students of USAMV Cluj who are passionate about rural veterinary medicine and those who are curious to discover it. With this perspective, we organize conferences, workshops and practicals on the topics of rural veterinary medicine and livestock. We organize events in Romania and in France. Last year we created a magazine: Le P’tit Rural du GTVJ Cluj, where several articles, clinical cases written in partnership with French veterinarians and professors from our university are published.

ACE Véto : Cluj Association of French-Speaking Veterinary Students
ACE Véto is the representative student association for French-speaking veterinary students at the University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Cluj-Napoca (USAMV). It brings together more than 420 students, from first to sixth year, and acts as the “student body” for French-speaking veterinary students within the faculty.
Founded in 2022, the association is highly active and organizes throughout the academic year:
In addition, the association has developed a humanitarian branch, ACE Napocare, dedicated to animal welfare, which carries out actions focused on rescuing stray animals, supporting adoption, and raising awareness about animal well-being, in collaboration with local stakeholders.
Through its activities, ACE Véto actively supports complementary education, student cohesion, and the international visibility of the faculty.

Yaboumba Junior Cluj is one of the junior branches of the Yaboumba Association, founded by the renowned veterinarian and zoological medicine specialist Dr. Norin Chai. Our mission is to share knowledge about exotic, wildlife, and NAC (New Companion Animal) medicine. By joining the association, students gain access to our events (conferences, practical sessions, field trips, and more) as well as to our shared drive, which is updated throughout the year with educational resources. All students from the Romanian, English, and French lines, as well as Erasmus students, are welcome. We are an enthusiastic and diverse community, eager to learn and grow together. Our events are held in English and are organized in collaboration with university professors, European veterinarians specialized in exotic, NAC, and wildlife medicine, as well as biologists. We make sure to place both our members and our guest veterinarians at the heart of every event. We also place strong emphasis on mental health by organizing dedicated activities such as meditation sessions, open discussions, game nights, and hikes. Each year, we organize a special weekend event called YabDays. During this weekend, participants have access to conferences, practical labs adapted to their year of study, a meditation session, an open discussion on mental health, and our famous quiz. We invite faculty veterinarians and European specialists in exotic, NAC, and wildlife medicine. Participants also receive exclusive goodies.
Follow the Instagram page of the weekend to stay updated
Stay connected with us on our social media platforms to register and keep up with our upcoming events:
We also have a dedicated Instagram page called YabNotes, where we share veterinary tips and information about different species throughout the year.
We are delighted to introduce AVEF Junior Cluj, an association bringing together over a hundred French-speaking students.
What makes us unique? Making equine medicine accessible to everyone by offering conferences, hands-on workshops, and online webinars throughout the year.
Throughout the year, AVEF welcomes French and Belgian veterinarians and regularly collaborates with professors from our university.
The association also offers several 100% equine weekends each year, as well as an Instagram account where you can find information about upcoming projects, news from the equine veterinary world, and fact sheets on various equine diseases.
As you may have guessed, AVEF will help you stay up to date with the latest developments in the equine world – if that’s your passion
We look forward to meeting you! Feel free to check out our projects on
